Our Spiritual Connection
Each and every day, at 12 noon, the chimes ring throughout the hospital at St. Mary's of Michigan Main Campus. During that time, you are in our prayers. So are our other patients, staff, physicians and volunteers at all of our 23 specialty centers.

When your health is in question, faith becomes more important than ever. Our spiritual-centered care dates back to our very beginning, when four Daughters of Charity established St. Mary's as a rough but ready frontier hospital. To this day, St. Mary's of Michigan strives to meet your emotional and spiritual needs -- and those of your family -- just like we work to heal your physical illnesses and injuries.

Our spiritual support includes:

  • Seton Cove Spirituality Center (seminars available to the community)
  • Interdenominational pastoral care staff including lay ministers and clergy
  • St. Mary's of Michigan Medical Center chapel for prayer and meditation
  • St. Mary's of Michigan Towne Centre interfaith meditation room
  • Ministers of all faiths invited to visit patients
  • Regular mass
  • Chaplain visits to patients at our main campus
  • Communion for Catholics distributed daily by eucharist volunteers
  • Other sacraments may be arranged

For more information and support, contact the Pastoral Care office at (989) 907-8195.

A Word from Our Staff

PATIENT LIASON

"Why I love St. Mary's of Michigan?

Honestly, it's the people that work here. They are the most compassionate, talented and loyal people I have ever known. I truly believe that St. Mary's of Michigan is the Best Health Care Facility in the State of Michigan. The only obstacle we have is that we all collectively don't realize this fact. The opportunities that we have to improve the service to our patients should be considered a welcome challenge provided to us by our creator.
We work in an environment in which our sole purpose is to serve one another. This is a truly a blessing and we have been blessed."
