Cardiac Care Prevention
While all of us at St. Mary's of Michigan are proud of our accomplishments and expertise in heart care, we'd like to help you prevent heart disease more than anything! Here are some simple steps: 1. Don't smoke. If you do, quit. 2. Control your blood pressure. 3. Maintain healthy cholesterol levels. 4. Exercise and eat right. Try to maintain a healthy weight for you. 5. If you have diabetes, work diligently to keep your blood sugar levels under control. 6. See your doctor regularly. 7. Know the warning signs of a heart attack
St. Mary's of Michigan is a proud supporter of Go Red for Women. We support the American Heart Association in its efforts to education women about heart disease - the number one killer of women today (more than breast cancer, accidents, and diabetes combined).
We also support Mall Walkers - a program designed to reduce the risk of heart disease through exercise.
