About Us
St. Mary's of Michigan Foundation was established in 1978 to receive and administer all charitable contributions to St. Mary's of Michigan. The Foundation is directed by a board of community leaders who share a commitment to perpetuating the healing edge.

The Foundation welcomes gifts, no matter the size, and ensures they are used in accordance with donor's wishes. Over the years, gifts to the Foundation have made possible the purchase of state-of-the-art medical and diagnostic equipment, advanced training of health care professionals and expansion of several of the hospital's 23 specialty centers.

St. Mary's of Michigan is a member of Ascension Health. Ascension Health is the nation's largest Catholic and largest nonprofit health system, serving patients through a network of hospitals and related health facilities providing acute care services, long-term care, community health services, psychiatric, rehabilitation and residential care.

The mission of St. Mary's of Michigan Foundation is to help the hospital obtain financial resources to provide an extra margin of excellence in patient care and services.

With the generous gifts donated to us by patients, families, physicians, associates, and community members, the St. Mary's of Michigan Foundation enables St. Mary's of Michigan to do what it does best...deliver the healing edge. It begins with the innovation, devotion, and compassion of our medical experts. It continues with the finest, most patient-centered facilities -- equipped with modern medicine's most amazing equipment and machines.

This extra margin of excellence in patient care is greatly enhanced by gifts and donations given to the St. Mary's of Michigan Foundation - an organization established in 1978 and governed by dedicated leaders who understand the importance of St. Mary's of Michigan and its legacy of innovation.
