Foundation Campaigns
Light Up A Life Campaign
Every holiday season, St. Mary’s of Michigan Foundation sponsors the Light Up A Life Campaign which supports the hospital’s Unrestricted and Mission Funds. Unrestricted funds are used throughout the hospital wherever the need is greatest, and Mission funds are used to help pay for the medical care of those who otherwise could not afford to pay for it on their own.

Donors to the “Light Up A Life” program have an opportunity to make a gift in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special person. Such gifts are recognized by the lighting of more than 120 trees in front of the hospital and displaying special donor recognition boards.

Honor that special someone this year, while supporting the mission of St. Mary’s of Michigan with the following options:
  • Spotlighted Tree
  • Ornament
  • White Light

Spotlighted Tree
For a $125 contribution, a tree will be illuminated in the name of the individual or individuals being remembered or honored. A sign will be placed in front of the tree for the month of December, and notification of your gift will be sent to the address of your choice.

Ornament
For a $35 contribution, a beautiful holiday ornament, along with a notification card, will be mailed directly to the address of your choice.

White Light
For a $20 contribution, a white light on a tree located in the main medical center lobby will be illuminated in the name of the individual being remembered or honored. Notification of your gift will be sent to the address of your choice.

Throughout the month of December, a special donor board will be displayed in the main lobby bearing the names of each memorialized or honored individual and donor’s name.

“I hope I never need that critical level of care again, but I know that if this is going to happen to me or a loved one, I’m glad I live in Saginaw because St. Mary’s is here and it makes me feel good.”
