Light Up A Life
Health Education Center
The holiday season is a time of tradition, with families preparing to gather to celebrate. During these celebrations there may be family and friends who are missing. Whether they have passed away recently or have been absent from the family for many years, the holidays are a time to remember and honor them and their life.
The St. Mary’s of Michigan Foundation Light Up A Life campaign is an opportunity to gather as a community to commemorate all those who were such an important part of so many holidays.
For a donation of $20, a white light will be illuminated in honor or memory of your loved one. A donation of $35 will purchase a commemorative ornament which will be mailed directly to the address of your choice, and will include notification of your gift. With a donation of $125, a tree in front of the hospital will be illuminated in honor or memory of your loved one. A sign will be placed in front of the tree and notification of your gift will be sent to the address of your choice.
A Remembrance Reception will be held on December 18, in the St. Mary’s of Michigan Health Education Center, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Celebrate the life of someone you love or honor a friend, by participating in the Light Up A Life campaign.
Proceeds will be used to support the Palliative & Hospice Care Fund and the Mission Fund at St. Mary’s of Michigan Foundation.

It is because of your partnership, and the generous donations of individuals and businesses, St. Mary’s of Michigan Foundation is proud to announce you helped raise over $226,000!

Charity Golf Classic & Online Auction
Raises Resources for Endoscopic Center Project
May was a fun-filled month of fundraising as your St. Mary's of Michigan Foundation held the 27th Annual Charity Golf Classic and Online Auction. The auction had hundreds of visitors to the website and numerous items to bid. Items included sporting packages, wine baskets, local gift certificates to businesses and even vacation packages. The auction had items at every price point and was open to the public as well as St. Mary's of Michigan associates.
The Golf Outing event was held May 29 at Apple Mountain and Saginaw Country Club. Hundreds of golfers enjoyed a day on the course while raising over $120,000 for St. Mary’s of Michigan new Endoscopic Center and equipment.
Proceeds from the golf outing and auction will support the Endoscopic Center project. The new center will be complete with the latest technology, endoscopic ultrasound. This procedure allows a doctor to see clear images of the upper and lower digestive tract. Benefits to patients include less invasive procedure, shorter recovery time and improved treatment plans. The new center will be conveniently located close to the emergency department at the main hospital.
Again, the Foundation appreciates your generous donations that help to ensure St. Mary’s of Michigan will be able to provide cutting-edge technology and compassionate care for the region.
