HOSPITAL CHARGES
The rates and charges established by the hospital are based on expenses.  They have been set as low as possible, consistent with the best set as low as possible, consistent with the professional care.  Your daily room charge includes:  your room, 24-hour nursing care, bedside meals, housekeeping, laundry and linens, medical records, patient services, maintenance, business and management services, and technology advances.
 
Additional charges are made for special services and supplies including medication, lab tests, x-rays, nuclear medicine procedures, CT scans, ultrasound tests, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, surgical services and anesthesia services.
 
PHYSICIAN FEES
Your hospital bill does not include any fees for the services of your personal physician.  Consulting physicians, such as a surgeon or radiologist, will also bill you separately.
 
PAYING FOR YOUR HOSPITALIZATION
You are personally responsible for your bill, but the hospital is happy to accept assignement of confirmed hospitalzation benefits.  Although your hospital coverage is a private contract between you and your insurance company, we will assist you in every possible way.
 
Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid - It is necessary to have a copy of your identification card to confirm coverage or eligibility.  We can process your claim quickly and efficiently when we have the required information.
 
Those without Insurance - If you do not have hospitalization insurance you can ask for assistance from the Social Services Department.  Social Services can help determine whether or not you qualify for assistance.
